About This Pattern
Beginner / Confident Beginner
Finished size: 14″ tall × 13″ wide (with flap open)
This is one of those small projects that ends up being used every day.
I wanted a place for mail to land that wasn’t the kitchen counter, so I made this fabric envelope to hang in our family command center. I searched for inspiration, but didn’t find exactly what I needed, so I designed something simple myself.
It isn’t perfect. There were a few bumps along the way. But I love how it turned out, and I wanted to share the pattern in case you’re looking for something similar to add to your space.
This pattern is offered for free and reflects the handmade nature of the project. Small variations and imperfections are part of the process.

Sewing Along
The full step-by-step construction is shown in the video. I recommend watching once all the way through before sewing, then following along at your own pace. This project is forgiving. If your seams wander a little, that’s just part of the charm.
