The majority of my free time is spent on creative projects and learning new things.

Often, I feel like I’m on a hamster wheel of information…

spinning into new subjects before the last one has even had time to settle.

The algorithm has a way of doing that… sucking you in and only spitting you out once you have more thoughts than time to sort them, let alone turn them into anything physical.

That’s why I’m glad we’re meeting here today…

by candlelight and through the sheer luck that you slipped out of the algorithm long enough to wander in.

I’m not saying the algorithm is bad. It’s where I’ve found a lot of inspiration.

It’s where I’ve found community in hobbies the people around me don’t always share.

It’s where I get lost when I want to be in a sea of new thoughts, but I don’t want to leave my house.

It’s a soft place to wander.

No one waiting on my response when I receive their input.

I get to be a ghost drifting through any and every topic I love.

I get to warm myself at a stranger’s creative flames.

Eventually, I realized I wanted my own place to gather those little flames…
